Terms and Conditions

All students following the Standard Music Studies Course are entitled to the Loyalty Card

Card is valid for one scholastic year, from October till June.

Card may be renewed every year as from October.

Loyalty Card holders are entitled to:

  • Priority for free ticket with accompanying adult for Malta Philharmonic concerts;
  • Priority for free tickets for Teatru Manoel concerts;
  • 50 photocopy pages related to JSSoM studies upon presentation of card by student and photocopy sheet overleaf;
  • Discounts from music outlets including:
    • 5% discount on all music books at Mediterranean Music, Kurat Calleja Str, Mosta;
    • 5% discount on all musical instruments (excluding Acoustic and Digital pianos) at Mediterranean Music;
    • € 50 off when you purchase a digital piano at Mediterranean Music;
    • € 100 off when you purchase an acoustic piano at Mediterranean Music;
    • One month free rent on digital and acoustic pianos if the option “Rent to buy” method at Mediterranean Music.

  • Upon Termination of Course, the Loyalty Card must be returned to the School; and student is entitled to a €5 refund.

Teatru Manoel free concerts for JSSoM Loyalty Card Holders

Applications 2016/17 are soon open

All students need to apply.

New students will be called for an audition at the very end of September.

Renewal students, that is students already taking classes at the school need to reapply if not it is considered that you are no longer interested to attend.

Late applications are not accepted.

New or renewal students must apply for the appropriate Music Knowledge and Understanding class. The date & time of the chosen class cannot be changed. The selected instrument needs to be marked within the same application page.

Summer Sounds 2016 Timetable

Revise, keep fit and enjoy music!

Summer Sounds is 6-week long course, commencing on Monday 25th July till Friday 2nd September. Lessons will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

A student may choose to attend one, two or three sessions a week. Sessions take place between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. with a 30-minute break in between. See overleaf for timetable.

Each class will include a minimum of 8 students and a maximum of 10 students grouped according to grade and as much as possible according to age.

Instrument sessions consist of open classes / masterclasses / workshops involving individual and group tutoring as well as ensemble playing.

Knowledge and Understanding sessions consist of theory, aural training, singing, listening and appreciation.
