Rosetta Debattista has been part of our team since 2006. She is a trained pianist, music educator and therapist. She was mentored by Maria Callas’s Pianist, Robert Sutherland and studied Pianoforte with Ruth Gerald at the Royal College of Music in London. She furthered her studies in music education and music therapy at the University of Surrey.

As a student, Rosetta frequently gave concerts for the Musicians Benevolent Trust in London. Over the past 20 years she has regularly performed in Malta, and has given concerts in Italy, Denmark and Germany. She has worked as Music Director and Vocal Coach for locally-produced musicals, including Side by Side, Company, Honk, Oliver and Chicago. In 2010, Rosetta initiated the project ‘Minigig’, bringing live music to villages on the island. In 2011 she was appointed ‘Arts Education Consultant’ for the National Theatre, where she created Teatru Manoel’s ‘Toi Toi’  programme, and as well as her busy teaching schedule at the Johann Strauss School of Music, she is an active performer and therapist.
